Body Talk: Connecting Awareness and Wellness

MAKING SPACE TO LISTEN TO WHAT OUR BODIES ARE SAYING TO US

Who: Adult Women
When: Tuesdays 12:00-1:30pm
Dates: September 1st - November 17th
Group Type: Open (meaning you may join at any time and participate in 4 sessions)
Where: Door of Hope Counseling Center, “The Box” room
Cost: $80 for a 4-session punch card (available for purchase until October 26th)

Description: Our weekly sessions will consist of bringing attention to our breath, focusing on our physical movements, stretching our muscles, and reflecting on our time together. The goal is to connect the mind and the body through movement in a safe environment, reduce symptoms of tension and anxiety while removing aloneness. Joining this group will help you become more self-aware, increase flexibility, give attention to your body, and experience community. A psycho-educational movement group allows the body to have a deeper sense of internal connection and regulation. This works to activate your body's nervous system which helps us feel calmer in our daily experiences. We do this as a group to remove aloneness, have fun and allow our minds to live in the peace and joy God designed it for!
